I can't wrap my head around why he's acting as a neocon puppet. They already publicly tried to remove him once a couple years back.

Erdogan wants to wipe out the Kurds.

The Kurds want to wipe out ISIS.

The US wants to wipe out Assad.

ISIS wants to wipe out Assad.

Assad wants to wipe out ISIS.

Russia wants to wipe out the US oil market hegemony.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend...

I can not believe how fast this is all escalating. I mean, if this is credible, it's like WW1 is coming back to haunt us. A NATO member shoots down Russian aircraft and somehow that's ok? Makes me sick to think Erdogan and Turkey are NATO members and no one is even raising an eyebrow over this shit. Then I think back on the Hollande/Obama press conference, and how quickly Hollande rolled over after meeting with Obama for what, an hour? It was all over the French news service how Hollande was going to D.C. to push Obama towards an alliance with them and Russia to combat ISIS and coordinate strikes. How he (Hollande) was meeting with Obama first and was going to speak with Putin later in the week to report on any progress gained during the meeting, how he was optimistic there would be an alliance. Heh, nope. Obama yanked the leash and quashed that thought real quick. I always wondered, hypothetically, what it must have been like during WWI or WWII being on the "wrong side" or being "the bad guys". I can say now, I don't like it, it sucks, but then again, I don't think there are any "good guys" left any more. They (whomever they are now, countries, govts, organizations, the men behind the cutains) all are on the wrong side, with their own goals and agendas. I never thought I would see this kind of shit in my life time.

This link seems to be the full article, I still don't know how credible it is. If this statement went mainstream, following the recent events, I imagine Turkey would be put under sever scrutiny by the general public.

I imagine Turkey would be put under sever scrutiny by the general public.

Not at all. Turkey's interests align with those of the US government who have been pretend fighting ISIS, and inclusion/diversity/open mindedness is all the rage these days

"ISIS is a reality and we have to accept that we cannot eradicate a well-organized and popular establishment such as the Islamic State; therefore I urge my western colleagues to revise their mindset about Islamic political currents, put aside their cynical mentality and thwart Vladimir Putin's plans to crush Syrian Islamist revolutionaries," Anadolu News Agency quoted Mr. Fidan as saying on Sunday.

That's the source for raymindibrahim. However, Anadolu News Agency have since said this:

We hereby state that the recent stories on some foreign media outlets claiming that Anadolu Agency did an interview with Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Undersecretary Hakan Fidan and published it are totally false.

OP is bullshit for posting something like this to news, but Baloo's link above shows the info is sadly legit.
