Putting on makeup is easier than losing weight. Plus, it's instant gratification, vs. the delayed gratification of getting in shape .

FA and body positivity in a nutshell, love yourself and be proud of your body.... By covering it in makeup, dying your hair, photoshopping, wearing certain clothes (Or circus tents) that give the illusion of being thinner, and using camera angles.

I think the instant gratification is the key here. Despite what they claim, nearly all of them want to be normal but they just don't have the discipline to watch what they eat for several months before they really see a payoff. Makeup gives a payoff in just a few minutes.

Its your classic 80-20 rule. 80% of your attractiveness comes from your facial features and physical fitness, maybe 20% (at most) from your hair, clothing, make up. Fats ignore the 80% and focus on the 20% because its easier and they're lazy. But say, best case scenario, the most perfect hair, makeup and outfit there ever was, you still score 20/100. That is not a passing grade in anyone's book. Nobody wants to fuck a 2/10.

Pretty much.

....aaaaaand you've also just described 2/3 of the females an american will see on an average day spent around other people.

I'd also say males, but they've got other, equally self-inflicted issues.

contouring isn't meant to emphasize what's already there, it's meant to create illusions. i don't know any thin women who bother with contouring unless they have the dreaded bobblehead.

Was talking with a buddy of mine about his fatass wife. She was bitching about how she didn't have any nice clothes.

"When you put a pretty dress on a bag of garbage," I said, "it doesn't make the garbage look any better. it just makes the dress look way worse."

He stared at me with haunted eyes.

The colloquial ism is, "polishing a turd." Meaning to waste ones time trying to make what is essentially shit presentable.
