Where does the water from your ice cubes go when it melts in your glass? Why doesn't it overflow?

One is ice on land (arctic) the other is floating ice (antarctic)

Edit: Not sure what the downvoat is for. The ANTarctic has ice on land, the Arctic has ice on water.
