/v/voatdev is one. I think I have discussed it before. Can't remember.

Ah cool. So do I understand your concern correctly: because "message the moderators" button on voat sends PMs instead of having modmail, the newly joining mods don't get to read older mod conversations? Mods will always be able to PM each other to have a quasi-private discussion.

Well it isn't just that new mods can't see old mail it is also current mods can't see each other's mail(via mod mail not actually private messages.) This could lead to miscommunication when 1 user messages the mod team then gets 5 different messages.

Hmm... so this will at least cut out the newly joining mods from the older mod messages. Meaning, there will be a tad less mutual oversight by the mods, if I understand correctly.

No mods can see anything. It would be the same effect as if I went to your private profile and messaged your privately. No person can see that mail but you and me.

OK, but if the button sends a copy of the message to all the moderators as opposed to say the top one, it will still mean multiple moderators are getting the same message, right?

Yes they are all getting to each mod. However this is different than reddit's mod mail where ALL mods see EACH message. So they can all communicate in the same place rather than separately.
