I have no problem w my WinPhone. Other than a lack of apps, but I don't really need much in the way of apps. The hardware is good, it syncs well w my desktop and the cloud. It works well over all.

I am almost due for a new phone, and I'm not sure which way I'll go next. I don't like Apple, and Google already owns enough of my data I don't need them in another part of my life. IDK, I'll have to look around when I'm really ready to pull the trigger on a new device.

It's kind of funny you're worried about the phone os manufacturer knowing about you with Android more than Windows phone.

Yes. Actually, should have thrown in the towel a couple years ago. Absolutely awful.

Only if they're using their phones to browse CNET, to read articles like this.

For me Windows Phone is end of line. Done, terminated. It reboots every single day and I can't rely on it as an alarm clock or when someone is calling me because yet again it is asking for my PIN code.

My next phone won't be a smart phone anymore.

Odds are good 99% of your contacts don't use encryption.

Almost every day I think it reboots because of some update. Also apps that apparently suck the battery life.

The only good thing about it is it has a very good quality of voice when I phone, but all the rest it is a waste of money.

As someone who has used Windows Phones for the last 3 years (4 phones in that time frame) I honestly think there are some good things about the platform. Where it fails is where it has departed from the original Microsoft theme of "it's your device do what you want with it" to a "we control everything to keep you safe". It is absolutely the safest platform out there but that means that developers have less control and power in the apps that they can build for it. The result of this is reduced functionality applications and then fewer apps in general.

If a Surface phone is eventually released I may buy it but at this point I WON'T upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile or buy another WP. I am a power user that ultimately wants powerful apps. Users will never get that in the Windows 10 application line because they are crippled by design.

Commenting just to say I disagree. The downvote to disagree shit is stupid so I'm leaving a comment.
