What they said last time makes it seem like there's a few months left but they finally registered in the US as a company and Atko seems enthusiastic still. PuttitOut seems to be flat out working on code. Atko made a post about doing an AMA and letting people know how they can help. Not sure if he was committed or not to doing doing it anytime soon.

No, I didn't miss it. All of what I said in the post you replied to, I saw after that though.
I'm not trying to paint a completely rosy picture and only he can answer to what his thoughts are, but I found it encouraging, at the least, after him saying he was putting it back as a side project.

Atko works very hard cleaning up at the local SJW shelter.
From the "About" link at the bottom of every page:
"Our true costs are still being realized and we do wish for this site to be self-sustaining at the very least. There are currently a multitude of ideas being discussed. Current examples revolve around creating a donate button which will be used only for website/server costs, we may bring in unobtrusive ads that are relevant and chosen by the owners and users of their own subs, and we will probably sell merchandise and do our part for the "T-Shirt Economy". Our other revenue ideas, which we believe our users will get a kick out of, will be shared as soon as we are ready for launch."
And:
"Donations are accepted via bitcoin at 1BFqer7P9qqqiirbC63KqxfuZYXxk6RrBZ. We'll make sure you get a badge on your voat profile as a small token of gratitude."

I'd love to support Voat with Patreon, and I'd definitely disable my adblocker for this domain.

Yes, on both options!
