There's a ton of smoke. Bitchtup starting a company with Adam Boyes years back. Chubbigans was a SCEA employee and infamous for his sockpuppeting of NPD threads. The 1UP Scandal in 2008 where in combination with a 1up editor they tried to make a GTA IV gif from a pre-release copy showing massive pop in appear like it was from the 360 version and spread FUD about it the 360 version being lower resolution, lower framerate and having less lighting effects. Unsurprisingly, the PS3 was the version with worse lighting and was 640P, less lighting effects and a horrible framerate that dived as low as 23FPS while the 360 version was 720P and ran above 30FPS most of the time (For some reason Rockstar decided not to enable V-Sync on the 360 version and it could run as high as 38FPS). The only thing missing on 360 was some post-processing but the game simply performed better on 360 and Neogaf got really mad about it. It was pretty big on 4chan at the time (Before it got cucked to death) but got forgotten about.
Thing is, Sony's PR has always come from their music and film divisions. They are very good at hiding dirty laundry and blackmail. And disposing people when they are not needed no longer (Like many of the 2013 "Insiders"). They don't leave a lot of trails. There's tons of smoke but no one can find the spark that shows the link.
Suspect behavior like Loudninja Marketing and letting Sony devs post good reviews in the thread is noticeable. It's finding the link.

GTAIV also triggered "unbiased" tech sperg dark10x. "Don't nitpick." Sperg bought the PS3 version (surprise!) then got mad in the DF thread at members noting its jaggies and generally shit viewing distance compared to 360.

Do you have any links, photos of this stuff. It's fascinating reading and sad too (not you, the idiots doing this shit) I remember a 1up staff member, I think his name was Steve or Shaun I can't remember, he was fucking horribly obnoxious and slander to Xbox Nintendo gamers, he ended up actually working for Sony

Why would that be? Huge corporations run propaganda regularly. How often is it called out? Not very. Tyler is "running" a site for gamers. Not very big, right? But if Sony starts providing shekels, that's another matter.
Tyler and bishoptl have been exposed consistently. You can read the tea leaves pretty easily, if you're willing. If not, maybe you also believe Fat Fuck Harry Knowles ran a reputable rumor site in the 90s. You think it's by accident that the hellhole is consistently moderated in a pro-Sony fashion?
As to whether Tyler Malka's corruption will be posted on Gawker (as an example), I doubt it. But they have subsites that are cozy with Tyler -- you scratch my back...
It seems like you're now asking about the nature of viral marketing and internet infrastructure rather than just Gaf's corruption. Hint: they're the same things.

Why is it just pro Sony then? That's what I mean. Why don't the other corps join in on the action too on that forum? I understand your points. It's a shame really, it's like system preferences takes over everything else in gaming.

It's pretty much first come, first serve. If Malka takes MS money, why does Sony continue to pay out? What was it, two years ago, Malka refused an E3 invite from Major Nelson because he "didn't want to owe MS anything". He pretended that he wasn't going to E3 since his press creds were rejected.
Lo and behold, he gets caught at the Sony conference! They clearly paid his way.
Same old shit. This happening while Shu Yoshida tells his followers to listen to Neogaf members on Xbox One Versus PS4 questions. Hmm. Directing traffic to Sonygaf for more circlejerks and propaganda?
PS MVPs don't have to publicly own up to their status, yet bishoptl purges what he calls Xbox Astroturfers. Cerny posts anonymously, as does Boyes. But other industry people (lol! That's drying up faster than dax's prolapsed penile-vag) are expected to publicly state their status before receiving an account.
Just some of the bullshit. Similar, though localized, to the known Samsung viral marketing on Youtube (almost certain Sony does this as well) and Disqus.
