I believe I posted something anti-status-quo.

Received a ban notice from a sub i never visited , the reason : Kotakuinaction user .

I also appeared in a list of terrible people for posting that different sports require different body masses . As a Greek i suspect that i will rot in Hades for that.

I think I just used the world "Israel" in a sentence.

I published a list of elected officials in congress and senate next to the amount of money they took. From the private prison corporations in return for their votes enacting harsher sentencing laws against their constituents. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31196167/Private_Prisons_to_113th.xlsx I also set off a White House petition trying to change the 13th amendment of the U.S. Constitution and abolish slave labor in all forms even if the person has been convicted of committing a crime. I was permanently banned from r/politics in 5 minutes.

My first account was shadow banned because I was trying to counter the downvote brigading of my comments (or, sometimes, other people's unpopular opinions) with vote rigging. I was just fed up and didn't care what happened to my account anymore. The brigading usually happened in the automotive subreddits, where facts that show that American cars are anything less than the epitome of automotive engineering are not at all welcome. This would also happen in /r/energy, where any positive statements about green energy were not welcome. My second account was banned from /r/feminism, but I don't remember exactly what for. I had never posted to /r/feminism, I had only made a fairly benign remark about feminism in an unrelated subreddit. I've also had plenty of my comments deleted for whatever ridiculous reason.

Edit: I can't find my favorite example of the downvoting in the automotive subreddits (too old to show up in my history), but here's one. I got a little snippy, which is why I like the other example better. I didn't actually get snippy with the other comment, I was just reasonable and polite.

Open dialogue. I like going on mental walkabouts wherever they may lead. Plus, social stuff like gender and dating behavior is an interest of mine. On Reddit, you get downvoted for saying anything other than "you're correct, i agree with whatever nonsense your saying."

Okay lol to be a bit more serious though I think you're making a great point. Reddit with its current model of communication is creating docile yes-men that are either too afraid or too lazy to type up a long, coherent argument.

The quality of posts on the site are becoming (or have been for a while now) really shitty, especially the more popular the subreddits are. It's somewhat unavoidable, but if I had a nickel for every time I made a gigantic post about something, and somebody either didn't read it correctly or deliberately took something I said out of context to be an offended prick, I'd be rich. It's getting more to be like facebook, where people don't continue or start a debate/argument to learn and develop discussion, it's just to one-up people and have their little "gotcha" moment in the spotlight where they can collect karma.

Exactly. I was/am getting tired of saying something as simple as "i like roses, not as much as tulips, but i like them." only to get replies about how I'm an idiot for liking sunflowers instead of tulips.

I'm often confused. It's like arguing with my ex, at a certain point I'm not arguing about what i said but what they heard and likely just using any excuse to argue their point regardless of what i say.

I made a fat people subreddit about 2 years before the fattening. In actuality, it was to make fun of the phat rappers.

Called for unilateral boycott of companies sponsoring FIFA. Resulted in insta-ban from /r/sports
