Gotta say, I like the current iteration oh Digg. It's like, if you're going to regulate the content on the site, and sell out articles, at least be transparent about it.
Yeah, you'll typically find stuff on there 12hrs after you see it on reddit, but as much as I typically surf reddit (now voat) I miss a lot of it. New Digg is kinda like cliff notes for shit you may have missed.

Ah, I see. I agree--I think the quality already has nose-dived, and it'll only get more asinine as the active, insightful users abandon the site for greener pastures.

Yeah, I've been posting daily there for nearly four years and I'm really liking Voat so far. I'll probably bounce back and forth between the sites for now, though.

I'm an old-timer too--something like 7 or 8 years--and I totally gave it up about two weeks ago. I was trying to bounce back and forth and trying to represent my somewhat conservative libertarian viewpoint articulately and respectfully, but the abuse and hatred and foul names I'd get in that little orangered envelope after expressing any view that went against the hivemind was just too much.
