Are you posting from 1994? There haven't been roaming charges within the US in many years, and some providers, T-Mobile US, even let you roam without extra charges in Canada, Mexico, and, depending on your plan, virtually world-wide.

I'm sorry to inform you that they of course fucked it up.

First it starts 2017 and second you still have to pay roaming costs after exceeding a volume which is not specified by the EU.

EDIT: The roaming lie was also only put in the current law package to sneak in the anti net neutrality law and still be Abel to sell it to the people
