Betrayed? Anybody with two brain cells to slap together knew Facebook was up to no good from it's inception.

I never had a facebook account, Who the fuck is still dumb enough to maintain one. People should be deleting their accounts en masse.

Deleted my Facebook in the spring and haven't looked back. I'd suggest everyone else do the same, but I won't waste my breafh.

I agree, I deleted mine in May '14 and haven't regretted it one bit. It's disturbing how many friends I haven't heard from though...they've accepted the new social norm, that you only communicate with friends through Facebook. Which is a fucking terrifying concept to me.

Agreed. You find out who your real friends (and family) are real fast.

Does a lion betray you when you invite it into your home and it mauls you to death? Does a toddler betray you when you put him behind the wheel of a running car and he gets into a car accident? At some point you are responsible for overcoming your own naivety. A lion will do what lions naturally do. Fuckerberg will find a way rape you.

So delete your account. I did. You are yellow belly if you complain about this and continue using them.

Even though you delete your account, Facebook still has your data and is likely still keeping tabs on you. I wouldn't be surprised if they're using algorithms that logs your IP address from what device you've used, and know who you are via daily web searches from cookies in your web cache bought and sold from various ad companies If you've been "tagged" before, and a picture was uploaded with your face visible, they easily know where you've been from the IP address or GPS location of the person who uploaded the picture. Big Brother is watching.

I'll not discuss opsec in full on a forum but yeah pretty much. It takes a lot of work to knock out those issues you brought up. Since I've fully committed to not being spied on any more my least favorite thing is when people bring a camera to an event. I feel like I'm a tin foil hat since I put my foot down but as ridiculous as I am it's just as ridiculous to have your name in a database with who you associate with and where you were at what time without any opportunity to give or not give consent.

At this point Facebook could publicly announce that they are a wing of the NSA and I wouldn't be surprised, Also, my mom would still share everything she sees and my wife would still question every girl that "likes" one of my photos.
