People who genuinely have EDs, at least in my personal experience, are incredibly secretive about it. It's generally not something they're proud of. Hams have romanticized EDs because deep down they wish they had enough control over their lives to actually be skinny. Fats are seriously the most fucked group of people.

As someone with an ED, I can't even begin to tell you how ashamed I am for having it. Who the hell starves herself on purpose? Me. And I feel like an idiot for doing this to myself but I can't stop for anything. It's disgusting that these pathetic excuses for people think there's anything beautiful or romantic about it.

This is so spot on. They want people to be concerned about them so badly! But they don't know how to foster legitimate connections with people as they're too self centred and have such awful personalities. So instead they try to guilt people into caring by seeking attention through 'eating disorders'.
