Piketty is still being taken seriously after he was caught openly fabricating data to reach his desired conclusion?
Liberals really do want to turn economics into another "feels over reals" extravaganza. They're totally cool with lies and fake data, as long as it suits their agenda.
Edit: Downvoting doesn't change the fact that Piketty a.) fabricated data, and b.) when caught, told people to ignore the data in his book and look at another source of data his buddies made up that is even less credible.

Wealth redistribution and theft as advocated by Mr. Pikettys is hardly unorthodox nor has it ever worked with its only result being sovereign defaults and massive poverty

You're welcome to provide an economist of note who agrees with you. You're welcome to make a real argument for why government is optional, or why it is practical to fund via non-tax channels in today's world (not 1880). You're welcome to provide legitimate examples of advanced societies that thrived or even survived without taxation.
I'll be waiting here with the crickets, and many economists who disagree with you.
