That's super fucked. I really don't think the anti vaxers are going to suddenly start vaccinating just because if this law gets passed.

This is a slippery slope of legislation. It is understandable to want to address the current outbreaks of measles but this is an overreach and could lead to more legislation on any type of vaccination. People have to also understand that most of these recent outbreaks happened where most of the people were already vaccinated. Maybe we should look into that and the theory that if a majority is vaccinated that the outbreak occurrence decreases, which is what the Health industry was saying. This law will effectively isolate a person from society because they refused to relinquish consent. The right to consent is an extremely extremely important right to have as a human, and overreactions like this could diminish that right.

From the article: "Technically, if parents still insist on not vaccinating, they can simply homeschool their kids if the personal belief exemption goes away."
Perfect for those who are anti-vax, but what about in every other public location? It doesn't matter for my kids, they are all old enough to be fully vaccinated, but it's so bad for the sick or very young infants and toddlers who aren't old enough to be fully vaxed. They'll be most at risk.

Doing this against people's will is not the right way to go. If you want to increase the number of vaccinations you need to teach people about the benefits of doing it in school (like they did with condoms), not push sick people, religious people, and other people who aren't comfortable with it even further away from the system than they were before.

Sick people get an exemption still, and if they don't want to vax they can just home school.
