Far too early to tell what his influence will be. I guess you could feel somewhat positive that we squeaked away with a draw at White Hart Lane, but honestly without Mignolet, we would've lost it.
The first 20' gave some indication of the direction Klopp wants the team to go in and I think that's positive. It's just going to take several weeks for the players to get conditioned and adapt, not to mention the players who will still be out for several weeks. There will be a learning/conditioning curve for them when they finally come back. As the man himself said, it was an okay result for now and where the team is at but there is a lot of work to do. So we as fans need to stay patient. I think by Christmas we'll start to see what the team is going to be about while under Klopp. Hopefully, we can pick up points between now and then.
Having Euro-thingy games would normally be a detriment to the season, but I think it'll be a good chance to dedicate some time to everything Klopp is trying to implement and experiment a little in games that have less pressure than the Premier League.
Agree.. I felt that at the beginning of the game players were taking on opponents in the midfield. I liked that but they were also making dangerous/careless passes in defense. So maybe Klopp is telling them to take people on and make things happen, but I am sure he is not telling them to pass like amateurs, so who knows.
Yeah, it looked like they were trying to focus on a core concept and do what the manager wants but at the same time, they kinda forgot the rest of their game.
