Interesting but predictable. The same thing happened with Jobs. He tried the "natural" way (if I remember right he did the fruitarianism thing), and only got worse. The difference is, he bailed on it at the last minute and actually paid his way up the list and had a transplant (which means someone else didn't). I have no problem with you rejecting modern science for yourself as a free adult who has been educated on all of their options.
Everybody has the right to do what they want with their body and I wouldn't criticize someone who denied chemo any more than I would criticize someone who accepted an abortion. The key factor is education. If you're only rejecting chemo because of some pretentious fad you have subscribed to in order to separate yourself from the herd, I have no sympathy for you if you fail. If you truly in your heart believe that what you have chosen is the right thing for you and are at least willing to acknowledge other options, then more power to you and I hope it works out. That said, I also don't approve of people who tout anecdotal experience and pseudoscience as fact and demonize all other options or try to make people who disagree with them seem predatory or evil. I believe in fair representation of all perspectives, and it's no more fair for you to demonize a laboratory than it is for people to call you a dumbass hippie or whatever the term of the decade may be. We would all love to be able to heal what ails us without subjecting our bodies to aggressive chemicals or radiation or any of the things that people like Jess Ainscough or Steve Jobs reject in favor of doing things like eating nothing but fruit, but so far the numbers favor the chemicals.
