...because this happens. apparently.

Did I miss the one time people wigged out for cuffs being to tight on someone who just murdered someone else in front of a crowd, or am I the dumb one?

Well when you consider that the young man that went into that church and gunned down those people who had just finished Bible study was taken by the police to a burger joint right after he was arrested...

Wouldn't be more accurate if the dead dude was also black.

I'm pretty sure I saw this comic in Hustler in the mid 2000s.

So, if I understand the message of the comics, cops should be allowed to hurt criminals who comply with their arrest because of the crime they are suspected of, and therefore the suspect has no right to surrender without pain being inflicted on him?

Cool. Got it.

This cartoon is just meant to divide us. And by "us" I mean people... All of us with our 99.5% genetic similarities.

This comic creates the impression that the fight against police brutality is a whites v. blacks thing. Only white cops/victims and only black folks in the crowd. Also, to compare crimes like selling cigarettes illegally to murdering 3 people! Or to compare hurting someones wrist to beating them. smh.

Take the title into context, Chicago. Mostly black on black violence.

I believe that statistically most crimes that are committed are among members of the same race. White on White. Black on Black. etc.

I'm guessing you've never been to Chicago nor been harassed by the police.
