I don't know if greed works but hard work pays of.Everything said in this article applies to manufacturing and construction as well. It's a dirty, dangerous at times and well paying business to work in but well worth the effort. A lot of times it doesn't matter who you are and what you look like as long as you have skills, imagination and will to learn and work with others without conflict.

...and that's why there are very few women on job sites :(

There is no question that the tech industry is dog eat dog and to be part of it, you need to be educated, driven and passionate. There are no hand outs in technology, you earn your way up the ladder through countless hours of studying, hard work and sacrifice.

To think that being born a certain color or gender entitles you to be part of the tech industry is completely false. It is entirely a Meritocracy, run what you brung...brilliance talks and bullshit walks.

Or to put it another way: Greed for lack of a better word is good, greed works.

The commercial success that has been confirmed by an industry that is publicly known as top to bottom corrupt is all the approval anybody needs. I generally agree with the conclusions of the article but this chain of reasoning is really bad.
