I live in Wales, in the South Wales valleys near where Tom Jones and Max Boyce are from. I live at the top end of a valley, surrounded by mountains, forests and walks. Brecon Beacons national park is not far away. Obesity is a real problem here, I am not great at guessing but the average size of people here is around a UK 18 - shelf asses, triple chins and waddling walks. They are always in trakkies/sport tops (oooo the irony!) or mumus and carrying bags from shops like B+M Bargains, takeaways and discount clothes shops. They always give me dirty looks (all I do is walk past!) so I give them back.
There are way too many fast food places, every type of takeaway is nearby in the valleys no matter where you live, in my little village of 6011 people there are 2 chineses, 2 fish and chip shops, an Indian and a pizza/fries/burgers place. Whenever I walk past them (they are all on one little high street, a few 100m at best) they are always full and to make it worse we also get the bloody leaflets shoved through the door of takeaways between me and our local town Pontypridd.
The amount of obese children I see is horrifying, It makes me so angry when I see them munching crisps and guzzling coke especcially when they are 2-3 at best. There is a high school nearby and sometimes I share the train with pupils going home, I have seen a few pupils (who are at max 17) who are twice the size of me, one of them was at least three times.
Cardiff is not much better either and Wales' only NHS funded weight loss clinic is in a nearby valley - not surprised. I feel like Jack in the land of Giants.

I think it's pretty bad here already...

Rural town in The Netherlands. Shitlording is pretty acceptable here and there are very few overweight teens which is good to see. People eat large meals at home but it is generally healthy and almost everyone rides bicycles regularly so they get a lot of light exercise.

Checking in from UK. A lot of progression from small fats over the past couple of years to full blown tumblr whale pods. There has been a massive rise in American style burger bars and diners too where they tend to amass..

Live in Melbourne, Australia. The smallfats seem fairly common, but the larger variants are fortunately quite rare.

Melbourne here too! Am I the only one who finds it super weird that in the hipster areas (Like Brunswick st etc.) people are either fat or very very (like underweight) thin? There doesn't seem to be a healthy inbetween there

There is some fat acceptance here, but a fit and healthy lifestyle is everywhere. the Company I work for has a lot of healthy promotions have have like free Yoga and sport events, You can also join the group that has a weekly jacobs ladder lunchtime runs. http://www.lifeonperth.com/jacobsladder.htm There is company policies in place that you have to be fit enough to do your job and they are thinking of bringing in no cake or pastries at work, it is already removed out of all company functions.

Aussie shitlady, here. I've seen a few hams where I'm at, but there are also quite a few fitlords and shitlords as well.
