I don't care for Clinton much at all, but should we expect anything else from the staff of a Secretary of State?
What is the duty of a Secretary of State? What are the duties of their staff?
What should 60 minutes have done, ignore the input of the U.S. government? What is their duty?

I'm going to frame this one and hang it on the fridge for those days I want to take off my tinfoil hat.

Why not just have a mirror and let Hillary ask her own questions?

No, but it's always a good thing to have documentation to back up what one says.

This is equally as shitty, while also being just as expected, on 60 Minutes part. Fuck everyone in this story.

Well, I have to be the devil's advocate here: at the time of this e-mail exchange, Mrs Clinton was the Secretary of State. It was her job to ensure the security of the nation and monitor threats both foreign and domestic. Julian Assange is a wanted man in the US, he has purposefully leaked military information to the enemies of the US. It would be laughable if the Secretary of State did nothing when presented with an opportunity to expose Assange for being something else than the white knight persona he has created for himself.
