I've always found Americans are obsessed with protein. It makes sense to consume a lot if you're trying to build or maintain muscle. But lets be honest, most people are just looking for an excuse to shove greasy chicken and cheese down their faceholes in the name of protein and good health.

The important factor of milk for young mammals is more about it having well rounded nutrients and being easy to digest. It's not like it's some magical fattener. At the end of the day it's still about the composition and amount of calories consumed. Like anything else, you have to balance what you are eating.

The fact is that because it's an all-in-one food it's probably more healthy than a lot of things, it's just easy to consume too much, especially when you aren't doing something to use the protein (which cow's milk has a lot more of.) Theoretically human breast milk could sustain a person their entire life.

The last thing fatties need is another excuse for not watching their diets.

Though, I do have a couple of beefs with milk. For one, yogurt being marketed as a health food is the biggest scam in the dairy industry. That shit has way too much sugar. Keep your yogurt for dessert like it's meant to be, and find something else to make you poop every day (you know, like fiber.) Yogurt and juice both set of rant mode for me.

That said, the protein enhanced chocolate milk (low-sugar if they have it) is my go-to on days I lift weights. People have said stuff like "just eat a couple eggs" and my response is always "I could, but this shit tastes fucking good."

Not sure if you are looking at the yogurt from American eyes, but the stuff in Europe is top notch then again manufacturers don't go out of their way to engineer food to get you hooked on it like a crack head. The number one thing I miss from my years spent in Europe is the food quality, when you get back to Merica and realize what utter shit the food quality here is. If I had a dime for every time someone has raved about how great so and so restaurant is and I end up being very disappointed every fucking time. (Except in NY they gots some hella chow) Food tip just because the food shows up at the table in under 5 min does not constitute Good!

Yes, American eyes, indeed. But seriously, most 6-8oz servings have 20-40g of sugar. Sure they have vitamins and stuff, but it's evolved into a health food thing touting how they're "lite" and "probiotic" and "greek" and marketing how great they are for staying fit and being "regular" and losing weight.

And maybe some of those things are true, but in the fat hands of a ham it's just one more thing to justify their fat lives; people who are in shape and healthy either don't need to worry about it or are already aware of it.

I do like yogurt, I just think that it should be viewed as a treat.

Well, it just comes down how much of it you drink and what kind. If you take one without removed fat you have to know that in terms of calories it's the same as beer. You don't get manboobs from "milk-hormones", you get them from being a large piece of shit. Also, the same stuff he said about milk could be said about chicken eggs (makes small "bird" into bird), which bodybuilders used for decades. However it's kinda obvious that I would ballon if i drank a gallon milk per day.

Hammies diet:

Breakfast: Milk in cereal, milk in coffee, yogurt. Bagel with cream cheese

Brunch snack: granola bar covered in chocolate, doritios.

Lunch: 3 slices of extra cheese pizza. Salad drenched in milk based dressing. Sandwich with cheese and extra mayo.

I feel gross typing all this out. You can imagine what dinner, dessert, second dessert, and before bed meals are like.

Compare the protein, fat and calories in milk and in pumpkin seeds for instance. You might be surprised.

Huh....I used to drink a glass of milk after lifting because of the HUGE protein, but it seems that milk might actually have too much protein which causes adverse effects. I guess I should just snack on almonds? Although, if I searched, the first result would probably tell me THOSE are bad for me too. I'm so frustrated...

I would always do smoothies before the gym. Bananas, peanut butter or almond butter, apples, spinach and milk (You can't taste the spinach.) I switched over to soy milk for a while. Its about the same. The thing I noticed is my face cleared up a lot after switching to soy milk. I never looked it up, but i'm assuming the hormones in milk is what was clogging my pores.

You can drink milk after a workout, but it has a little low protein for the fat-content. If you switch to low-fat milk and drink about half a litre you should be good. Almonds contain more fat than milk. Nuts are generally very fat (still way better than sugary drinks, or deep fried salad at mcbeetus).

Almonds especially have a lot of fat for how much they (true fax) taste like cyanide. Post workout I am a bigger fan of the Whey whether it comes as isolated way or as a part of 2% or skim milk. Or a chunk of a hard cheese like cheddar or parmasean (In soft cheeses they can cheat you out of protein by amping up the milkfat content). Most surviving hormones given to the livestock are fat soluble and a non-issue if you have dairy products with the fat skimmed off for the cause (of butterbeast mortality).

Years ago when I started the fitness train I got the delayed onset muscle soreness bad. Whey protein prevents that for me.

Anyways. The big food adulterant that bulks up these beasts is the sugahs. All of these manufactured products out sweetening each other.
