If he wanted to be safe he would've rode in a sedan going the speed limit. You don't get top-tier performance with a heavy, sturdy frame. Some sacrifices are made in sports cars and the owners know they're riding in death traps.
This is not a case where the manufacturer ignored a fatal flaw like a Ford Pinto getting rear-ended and bursting into flames or a GM ignition switch faulting and disabling the airbags. Those are worthy of lawsuits because they recklessly endanger people operating the vehicle normally and the companies avoided telling anyone because of costly recalls.
Are they going to sue LA for planting that tree or putting that light pole there? This family is just taking their pain out on someone and it's uncalled for.

Ridiculous, he was driving way too fast on a public road, and then couldn't handle it. He got his own dumb ass killed, it's not the car's fault the driver was reckless.
