When state constitutions are altered in a way that forbid the people from disbanding corrupt governments and installing new ones that serve the interest of the public, people will start to worry and it will be too late.
It's too little too late at this point to please everyone without taking away the rights of some other marginal group without some sort of ground shaking reform.

Every time you mention this to people that bring up things like "you support the guy sellings that medicine at a high price, derrrr".
They bring up "gays wouldn't be able to marry if not for the government....deeerrrrr".
They have a hard time letting go of the horrible laws that continue to be pushed on to people on top of other laws on top of other laws. Governments should rarely get involved in someones life. They should only help protect people in the pursuit of liberty.
Imagine a land where the government isn't even involved with who you marry or what you choose to read or say. Imagine being able to say anything without fearing for your life or job. Imagine not being held hostage to those that take your money to spend on each other.
