I just hope someone is honest enough with Bergoglio to tell him that magic is for children.
Failing that, perhaps someone will give the pope a tall glass of bleach and ask him to demonstrate just one of the Jesus-fueled-magical-super-powers he claims to have (Mark 16:18). I'd love to see what Bergoglio would do, either invent an excuse or die choking on his bullshit.

Careful guinness2, if you tip your fedora any harder you might accidentally punch yourself in the face.

As fucked up as the Catholic Church is I actually try give this guy some credit. I think he is at least trying to shake up the system and move the church away from the golden thrones and huge mansions and actually try to help people instead of them selves. Its baby steps, but at least they're in the right direction.

I completely agree. I am not a Catholic myself, but what I like about Pope Francis is that unlike his predecessors he seems to believe in and practice what he preaches, even to the extent of crossing some lines previous popes wouldn't dare to. Time and time again he's shown he's willing to lead by example.

When was the last time you dined with the homeless armchair warrior? I'm sad to say it's been a few years for me, 2012. I assure you its not lazy. Looking someone in the eyes who has nothing in this world, but still gets up every day is humbling and gutrenching. It forces you to reexamine your values and how you live your life. Try it sometime.

the pope is the real homeless armchair warrior, or should l say homeless golden throne (adorned with jewels) warrior. the pope is not a man of the common or poor people, he is not even a human man of the people, he sits "upon this earth the place of God Almighty." The pope has always been a bogus figurehead used to pacify, manipulate, and ultimately subjugate the masses in order to take their money. Pretending to care about the people they steal from by "dining" with them in front of the cameras is just another of their tricks.

40% of homeless teens are homosexuals...
...who were likely abandoned by "good Christian" parents for being gay.
Additionally, about 35% of gay teens have attempted or succeeded in suicide.
I hope Pope appreciates the consequences of his biblical hate speech while he enjoys his dinner with his personal press photographer and personal journalist to ensure everyone witnesses his public act of humility.

I see no reason to congratulate a man for being slightly less of a raging bigot than other fucking monsters, especially when that man is the head of the world's largest child sex crime syndicate and had built a career on lying and selling snake oil.
