Toyota and Honda, Best Car Makers.... There are a few new guys, but the reliability history isn't there yet.

A penalty equal to less than half the company's 2014 earnings in exchange for having all charges dropped relating to intentional negligence that killed at least 124 of its customers (likely more). Good work, DOJ! That'll teach 'em.

i don't understand is a corporation is a person why can't we put a corporation in jail it committed a crime. A person in jail has no freedoms. The company should not be able to do business for whatever amount of time a human would have to serve or in this case 100 life sentences.

As if it really matters. They are too big to fail and don't have to worry. They'll get bailed out if things become a problem.

This is more true than people think.
America will never let GM die. They'd let Chevy and Ford go down the tubes before they'd ever let GM fail.

You mean Chrysler, not Chevy, right?

I'd kidnap a thousand children before I let this company die.

Chevy is GM.

I think GM would go out before Ford. Ford didn't take the bail out, I would believe they are entitled to one.
