I've noticed that type 1s always pronounce diabetes properly while overweight type 2s often pronounce it "diabeetus" like Wilfred Brimley.

They do, and it's so cringe-inducing. It's also never said matter-of-factly, they always sound like they are either proud of it or seeking sympathy. What's even worse is the ones that say they've "got sugar-diabeetus" or just "got sugar." Unfortunately when type 2s spot my insulin pump they usually feel the need to start a conversation with me. My 85-year old shitlady type 2 grandmother pronounces it correctly at least.

It's two disabilities. Diabetes is something actually genetic. Diabeetus is from eating too many jinetuks

Yes and no....type 2 has a large genetic component, but obesity is a huge risk factor, so if you're already genetically predisposed to type 2 being overweight drastically increases your chances of having it. Other risk factors are age (being over 40) and ethnicity. That's why only about 30% of obese people are diabetic and about 15% of type 2s are a healthy weight. Everyone knows that type 1 isn't caused by lifestyle, but a lot of people don't know that type 2 isn't always "self-inflicted" even though it is often the case.

Fat fucks, only they could eat the health insurance; Inpatient hospitalization covers meals.

Obese people should be forced to pay more for health insurance, or be refused coverage period. This way health costs decline and fatties die off. But will never happen.

If I was a shitty driver I'd pay more for car insurance. If I drove drunk or was always reckless, my license would be suspended. Yet, Healthcare costs are 16% of the US economy. Why? Because people have no incentive to take care of themselves.

And if you bring up the healthcare costs, you'll just get some dipshit crying about how our evil military who bombs innocent babies spends QUADRILLIONS of dollars a microsecond.

I'm actually surprised as many of them have jobs as presently do. If a ham walked in, unless she was somehow an expert in my field beyond all reason, there's no fucking way I'd hire her.

If I heard a fatty in real life say "diabeetus" unironically, I really doubt I would be able to hold in the laughter.

Kudos to you for your tolerance level, OP.
