Minced beef in gravy. If you asked a New Zealander if he wants a pie, and produce anything other than that, he will be very confused, and feel sligthly cheated.

Someone just brought in a homemade chocolate cake covered with chocolate toffee frosting. Its huge.
The thought of even a bit makes me feel physically sick (I don't like sweet things), so its just sitting there.........
Now, a meat and potato pie would be good, or a pork pie, or a cheese and onion pie, or a ...well I have a cook book full of savoury pies. I like pies
