I have a chronic (heh) illness that can be treated with marijuana, so I'm for it at least medically.

Smoke weed erry day! 420 blaze it!

Nah, its cool but prolonged use makes you stupid. Kids shouldn't do it until 18 and above, it fucks with mental development too much.

I stopped drinking alcohol because it made me act stupid after too much and I never knew when I'd had too much until it was too late. So, generally I don't like anything that alters my perception.I smoke tobacco but, hey, I don't get any DUI's from it.

My opinion is that it should be legal, is far less of a problem than other legal substances (alcohol and pharmaceutical abuse), and has been made illegal because of ignorance.

I should add my opinion is very bias as I am a frequent smoker, it's not often that I don't have at least one joint every night. I guess you could say I abuse it, but I hold a good job, have raised a family and don't have any financial problems so I think the abuse is ok, I know it's not really 'good' for me, but I am the kind of person who needs some kind of vice to get by and weed is the lesser of all evils IMO.

I think that it is ok, and most people I know who use it are fine. But I cant use it without triggering an hours-long panic attack that is very, very uncomfortable to sit through, and I also have a friend who has an identical twin who is schizophrenic. The symptoms appeared when the twin began using marijuana, in his teens. My friend didn't start using marijuana until his twenties, at which point schizophrenia set in. Quitting marijuana (as well as starting medication) has really helped his symptoms. So I think you should not treat it like it's harmless- depending on who you are, it can cause problems.

In my opinion cannabis is a harmless plant. (Unless you're a child, of course. Then it'll fry your brain.) That being said, I've never smoked MJ, and hopefully never have to for health reasons. There's no reason we should lock up people for smoking it, and we really need to pardon those who are already behind bars just for possession before most become hardened career criminals.
