Never heard of it named that and I've been a subscriber to this belief for as long as I can remember. What really gets me though is that the far left (in the UK at least) seem to get away with their histrionics much more easily than the far right due to political correctness.

What is the horseshoe theory?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseshoe_theory

"The horseshoe theory in political science asserts that rather than the far left and the far right being at opposite and opposing ends of a linearpolitical continuum, they in fact closely resemble one another, much like the ends of a horseshoe."

I'd take it further and say that politics is circular. Go left or right far enough and you and up in the same place, just under different names.

I like Star Trek better than Star Wars.

Not controversial enough. Try this on for size:

Enterprise is the best incarnation of Star Trek since TOS

I believe in the christian God and have no problem with other people not.

What I do have a problem with is people (as in militant atheists) that refute the very existence of Jesus, what with the "raptor Jesus" or "imaginary friend" jokes, because they're being willfully ignorant of history and hence we all suffer a future of repeating mistakes.

Came here to say this. I'm a socialist, queer, California, tree-hugging, dirt worshiper, who regularly donates to the ACLU and Planned Parenthood. I have conservative friends who whine about gun rights, welfare (not the corporate kind), and think Kim Davis is probably just a little bit outta line. We're all cool.... but say I'm an atheist and all of a sudden I'm an amoral devil worshiper.

That people who can't afford children, shouldn't have them. Why is it fair that someone else has to sacrifice to foot the bill?

Great. Then we need free and easily available family planning and abortion services. If you're OK with that then I'm OK with yours.

Free? No. @Reow , to paraphrase said no one else should be financially responsible for your child.

Available? Yes, as a free/legal market should provide that.

Instead of abortion, how about free sterilization?

Implanted hormonal birth control from places like planned parenthood is quite inexpensive, particularly compared to other types of insurance that are mandated at least at a liability level (e.g. car insurance).
