Jules Verne. My favorite book of all time is Mysterious Island. I've read it more than 10 times. I no longer have the time I once did to devote to reading, so I don't tend to read anything more than once anymore.

I was this way with The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. I used to read it once a year, but being an adult, I just don't have the luxury of enough spare-time to devote to re-reading a book over and over again. I wish I did.

I've read Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series, end-to end, nine times, as well reading each book as it was released.
The series is takes place from ~1800-~1815 and follows the lives of a Royal Navy officer (then, Lt. Jack Aubrey) and a slightly down-on-his-luck physician and natural philosopher (all natural sciences - a very broad study) Stephan Maturin. Dr. Maturin.
I'm not a very good reviewer, so rather than scare you away, take a look at wiki and the premier fan site.
