Me too. Installed Linux Mint on the weekend, it's great.

Here's a great guide to tune the system up, likely these tips apply to many distros and I found it really helped:

Quite a lot of Steam Games work on Linux now and I think it is even possible to get most (if not all) Adobe working on Linux.....some of it runs natively on Linux now and others still need Wine.

You'll have a windows machine up and running again within a month.

I don't think so, worse case scenario I run Win7 in a VM on Linux but I can't think of any reason I would need Windows ever again.

Dude, don't do it. If you leave MS you won't have BSOd, and all the other problems MS has to offer that Linux can't.

Not yet but I am working on it.....Apple has never even been. Google and Facebook will be gone soon as I find a descent replacement for them.....sadly there just isn't any right now.

Last time I used Linux, I found it very easy to break it since you have to rely on commands to update pages or using package updater GUI. Hence I only use Linux on my RPI2 not on VM since W10 updates often. I tried variants of Ubuntu because I found Ubuntu being the distro with GUI really close to W7/Vista

"easy to break"? Have you every touched a Windows Registry? That's like walking through a minefield.
