Dude, don't do it. If you leave MS you won't have BSOd, and all the other problems MS has to offer that Linux can't.

Last time I used Linux, I found it very easy to break it since you have to rely on commands to update pages or using package updater GUI. Hence I only use Linux on my RPI2 not on VM since W10 updates often. I tried variants of Ubuntu because I found Ubuntu being the distro with GUI really close to W7/Vista

Me too. Installed Linux Mint on the weekend, it's great.
