X-Files is up there. I enjoy Homeland as well.

The Office (US version). Lighthearted humor at its best with just a touch of drama

Boardwalk Empire, though they ended the last season abruptly. Great settings and characters.

For a cartoon, I would say Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It was just so bizarre. It did bother me how much I related to all of the characters though.

Seinfeld

Excellent casting and chemistry between the main actors. Unmatched comedic writing.

X-Files. The chemistry that David and Gillian had on screen was amazing.

X-files might be the first show that I watched beginning to end. Are you pumped about the new episodes? I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'm cautiously optimistic, too. I liked the last movie, I Want To Believe. But, knowing how the series ended, it makes me question how they will pick it back up.
