There are plenty of really pretty sea shanties. I think my personal favorite is Santy Anno. (Warning: some verses contain mild racist language from the 1800s.)

I like the song, but isn't a bit historically inaccurate to have a female accompaniment considering it was widely considered bad luck to have women on sailing vessels? Or am I getting my times mixed up?
