I have a Kindle. I wanted to read the Song of Ice and Fire series, but the books were too expensive here and the fifth one wasn't translated yet. The translated versions suck, anyways, so I got myself a Kindle (which was cheaper that four books) and I pirated the damn things. I'm not sorry. The last two were shit, anyway. They were not worth the money.

I don't - I went through a phase of thinking about getting one but I enjoy going to the library and browsing the shelves. I also enjoy the way the books are different; they have different hefts, page weights, fonts, margins, etc. You'd get the same experience every time with an e-reader.

I've looked at people reading them and it seems to me there's too little text per-page- it just doesn't seem it would 'feel' right to have so little text available at once.

I have a Kindle Paperwhite and a Nook Tablet. By far, hands down, the paperwhite is far superior if you are, in fact, getting a device for reading. The nook is terrible, you might as well just pull up an ebook on your desktop/laptop.

I use ebook apps on my phone and read while traveling.

I have a kindle that I only use while on breaks while at work. Otherwise, I actually enjoy reading a real-life book instead. For me a hard copy is how I grew up reading books and it feels most comfortable while lounging around on the sofa and reading. A tablet, like a kindle or ipad just seems like I need to be out and about somewhere to read. Purely psychological I know.

I think there are benefits to using both. There's nothing like having a huge library available to you anywhere and being able to take as many books as you want with you. I love being able to read in low light or the dark without a booklight and some batteries.

But reading a paper book is still so satisfying. So I still buy and read them. Mark-up is still overall easier despite the advancements. I am not as comfortable using my ereader in the bath (but I do) so that's another benefit to paper books. And no electricity required to power on. My ereader battery lasts a long time, but when it dies, it does so right when I want to read on the train!

I think they have different functions, and there is room in my life for both. Now if only there a way to increase my reading speed to supersonic so I could read all of the books on my extensive list!

It's telling of this industry when I can buy a physical book for a less expensive price then a e-book, which is what I do. I then pirate the e-book for my tablet. Anyone else do this?

I use the Kindle Paperwhite - but really any ereader that uses eink (if thats the term) instead of a regular screen is well worth purchasing. They are very convenient for traveling or if you like reading outside of the house, you can have a selection of books with you at all times and the battery life is usually a good few days worth at least.
