Keep an open mind. Be compassionate and patient. Using crisis as the dominant metaphor frames this discussion from the get go. Try to be concious of envy and frustration born from income inequality. Is a refugee as scapegoat model constructive? Could there be antirefugee astroturfing from political factions that benefit from security expenditures (walls, guards, camera/alarm systems)? How does history remember similar examples of massive migration?

How does history remember similar examples of massive migration?
Ask the Native Americans.

We both know this is a poor comparison. (I mean the native casualties at the hands of the european colonists characterize that period, and there isn't even a hint of that happening here.) Waves of immigration into the us from italians, germans, and irish more closely resemble the recent examples. Once they get their footing their children will be complaining about the next round of immigrants. The europeans are spooked because they're new to this volume. As somebody from the US, the world leader in immigration, everything will be ok. No, not sunshine and rainbows, just ok.

There is no solution to the migrant problem that doesn't take 20 years to come to fruition. Assimilation is the only solution.

If our navies are going to patrol the Med they should be towing boats back south and intercepting those who operate the migrant boats if they are spotted travelling back South after abandoning their latest clientele. I wouldn't be adverse to the idea of reintroducing checks between EU state borders or at transit hubs. I'm not sure how we're meant to deal with the issue if we can't keep an eye on what routes they take through Europe.

At some point it's going to get to the stage of armed response either by the nation or by the people. Western civilisation did not build themselves to be the countries they are today to let a flood of retarded, lawless cunts with no sense of morality into their borders.

The practice of decimation comes to mind. It was used during Roman times, in order to quell mutiny and unrest amongst the ranks of soldiers.
Literally meaning "to remove by ten", a century of soldiers would be divided into groups of ten, and nine soldiers would be tasked with killing the remaining soldier.

Fortunately we do not have land borders in Australia and half the cunts they try to get here never see our land let alone set foot on it. They die at sea in their rickety old boats and I could not care fucking less. Labor let enough of the daft cunts through and finally we've had a couple of years of giving boats the kick. If we had a land border there would be cunts there beating the darkies back by hand.

Send them all to countries responsible for making those refugees. US lap dogs UK, France, Germany, Sweden... They are the ones that bombed and destabilized those countries, let them deal with the problem now.
