I'm a bit biased here, but I really enjoy post-rock for relaxing rock tones.

Some of my favorite post-rock albums I could listen to over and over again, start to finish.

Red Sparowes - Every Red Heart Shines Toward the Red Sun

Pelican - City of Echoes

Explosions in the Sky - The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place

Some honorable track mentions:

Tone - Towers

Mogwai - Glasgow Mega-Snake

There's a lot more in my submission history and I will keep posting new stuff all the time.

Please bear in mind that our definitions of "relaxing" may vary.

Electronica:
Juno Reactor - Final Frontier
GlitchxCity - Deoxys Battle Remix

Drone:
Ensemble Pearl - Painting on a Corpse
Sunn O))) & Ulver - Eternal Return
Asva - What You Don't Know is Frontier
Earth - Land of Some Other Order

I've got some suggestions for you:

  1. Frederic Chopin's Nocturne Op.9 No.2
  2. Galactic's "Quiet Please Part 1"
  3. Mass Effect OST's "Noveria Theme"
  4. Mass Effect OST's "Uncharted Worlds"
  5. Just about anything off of Aphex Twin's ambient albums, here's my favorite from "Selected Ambient Works 85-92" - Heliosphan.
