Rather insulting response don't you think, but thats fine.
I didn't mean it to be discrediting, and if it came off that way I apologize.
I don't disagree but, that being said they will do it anyway and have already started to move 7 and 8 to that framework as well
That isn't what I meant, I simply meant that the information is already out there so why not use the OS?
I see you vehemently oppose Windows 10, I am just trying to understand the reasons people have, no need to be insulting about it.

Shit. You're right. Go ahead and give me all of your usernames and passwords for all your bank accounts and email accounts and such. Oh, maybe your SSN, DOB, and any other personal identifying information. Might be good to have. I may or may not do anything with it. Probably not. Maybe. Why worry about it? And hey, the NSA is already collecting that stuff anyway, so why not let me have it too?

I may be wrong, but I feel like there's a difference between tracking what you do online and what you do offline on your personal device. Most people are aware that their online activities could be monitored and recorded, but they will now think twice before typing anything on their PC. The fact that there might be a chilling effect on what I type into MS Word is ridiculous.

That makes sense. Is there evidence that there are keyloggers?

In the sense that Cortana needs to record your keystrokes to give useful suggestions, yes there are keyloggers. Supposedly the data is anonymized, but there's never any guarantee of that.
