I can't recommend this site to my friends.
What did I read somewhere "a hive of scum and villainy" sounds about right.
No judgement, obviously I'm here..many a mod over on the old site saw fit to make me unwelcome.
But the SJW circle jerk is pretty funny, for my part I perceived most of reddit to be center right, never participated in SRS, couldn't understand the language. Their trolling of white guys in attempt to engender empathy towards minorities, by making them legitimately feel persecuted, ostracized, censored and unwelcome seems to have succeeded in the persecuting part, not so much the empahty. Judging by the push back that's represented by /v/all

You realize you're making that statement in a subverse that its entire point is to talk about the other site right?

Ah. You noticed too, huh? It's weird how the most negative stories about Voat are from very new accounts, too.
Also, there is currently a spammy seeming post on r/Voat about CP on Voat. Now, I told the guy off and so did my SO. Somehow, he(my SO) was banned from r/Voat though over his comment. He contacted the mods and they haven't responded to him about his ban.
Basically, his post called out the guy's post, got 4 upvotes pretty rapidly, and then disappeared. Considering that the mods of r/Voat are pretty anti Reddit and pro-voat(supposedly), I find the whole thing odd.

Check out the difference between the archived copy and the live link. Sangers_baby and I had top tier comments and have since been brigaded all the way down.

Frankly, I'm fully comfortable if the voat community stays on the smaller side like it is now for the most part. I don't want the same people on reddit just coming to voat and making it the same. I'd rather have two distinct platforms be available. I currently use reddit more than I'd like to (some of the smaller subreddits are actually pretty good), but voat to me still seems like a great alternative, regardless of size. Over time if the voat community stays stable hopefully we will see more and more original content, but for now I'm content with the quality of the community and the level of the discussions here at voat.

People who are okay with blocking words they don't want to read should probably stay at the kids table.
