Actual first line of the article:
"Some Czech guy did a traffic analysis of data produced by Windows 10, and released his findings the other day."
At least we know this comes from a credible source. If "some Czech guy" can't be trusted I don't know where I'll get my news in the future.

That's because we don't have a credible MSM that covers objectively. they'd gladly cover apple for no reason at all, but seldom write a piece on privacy and how corporations are constantly undermining it. it's always the guardian or secunia/ security industry or someone else who highlights it first and then the MSM because they have to.

This is terrifying, if it's true. I couldn't believe this it is 100% false like the beginning of the article says is possible, because it's in the EULA. So glad I switched back to linux. Happy linux camper again. Switch from Linux to Windows before Steam on Linux was out. Now that it is, a good handful of my fav games run in linux now so I'm content.

Please don't post Windows articles to /v/linux, unless they somehow relate to Linux.

I thought it might interest some people on this sub

so, you don't think this would be more appropriate being posted to..... /v/windows? Seeing as this article is about..... windows? Do you post your favorite dog biscuit recipe over in /v/politics? Or an article about bronies over in /v/guns? What exactly was going thru your mind when you decided to post an article about windows in /v/linux ?
[–] beren 3 points 10 points 13 points (+13|-3) ago
is this /v/linux or /v/windows?

Religious articles get posted in /atheism
Anti-feminist articles get posted in /feminism
Console articles get posted in /pc<subofthemonth>
And so on...
Is it so surprising that Microsoft appears in /linux? It's expected that a group to focuses on their adversaries once in a while.

I'll just come right out and say it: I'm fucking sick of this fanboi bullshit. If I go to an android forum, I don't want to read about how some tool hates the iPhone. If I go to a Jeep forum, I don't want to read about how some tool hates Land Rovers. If I go to a Katy Perry forum, I don't want to read about how some cunt hates Miley Cyrus.
I don't fucking care if you hate windows, don't fucking use it, then. I don't give a fuck if you don't like something, period. There's this "thing" now that people thinks it makes them sound smart if they "hate" something, well it doesn't. It just makes you annoying.
And your bullshit argument about how "those guys over there are acting like assholes, so that makes it ok if we act like assholes" just makes everyone an asshole. Stop it. Just fucking stop it already. Act like a fucking adult and stop acting like reddit.
