It's 1978... Starblazers... The intro of planet bombs had a kid dying in a terminator like scene of mass destruction. Robotech hits in 1985, Roy Focker is developed as a chracter and then killed off.

GI Joe? Bahahahahaha. No one ever died. All those guns... and no one dying. I hated that show then, and I hate it now. I kinda draw a line too... if you liked GI Joe as a kid you are a fucken rodent. Rodent is what we used to call lamers in the BBS days...

Loved GIJoes as a kid. The first one I ever got was countdown. So many good memories, and debilitating sadness when the thumbs or the rubber band broke on so many of them.

I can't recall my first Joe. My earliest memory of playing with them I already had 13 of them. That quickly grew to 250+. I got pretty good at replacing rusty screws, broken rubber bands, and creating "Frankenstein" figures out of the spare parts of broken Joes.

Yeah same here, and I superglued my fingers together too many times trying to repair those damn thumbs.

It's mostly for people who collect the figures. Not about the crappy movies that recently came out starring the rock.

I remember getting a big Cobra GIJoe, the selling point was that you could take his mask off and see his face!!! The 10 year old me was quickly let down however, as Cobra was wearing a bandana over his face underneath the mask.
