The mods can ban anyone they want at any time for any reason. Not sure who they think they're fooling if they feel the need to use an alt to gin up a "reason" to ban someone.
GAF would be improved dramatically if they went through the post history of both their highest profile members and their most prolific posters and banned anyone who didn't post about games at all. If they didn't want to waste time doing that then straight up closing the Off-Topic section would accomplish the same result. Race hustlers, anti-cop activists, con artists, and sex criminals have no business on a videogame fan forum.

Because other members get off on seeing people banned over "the cause" flavor of the day. How else are they going to get their mod worship? bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif bish.gif

Gaming side is just as pozzed. I was going to say that they should really close Gaming side and just rebrand the forum as an extreme leftist hive, but then I realized they need Gaming side as the "hook."
The GAF hivemind constantly needs an influx of new members to feel empowered and to replace the scheduled daily bannings that placate the masses with spectacle, much like the ancient Romans and their Colisseum. We know that the mods actively enforce leftist group-think on the forum. However I'm convinced that they see their duty as not merely creating a hugbox, but that they have ambitions of influencing real world politics via their positions on the forum and installing narratives in the minds of the posters. If there's anything we know about those faggots on GAF, it's that they're grandiose.
First, unassuming young people are excited over some game they played and search for a gaming forum on the web to discuss it. NeoGAF comes up on Jewgle. They click to find a clean layout and a high-activity discussion board with mostly unintrusive advertising. Great site right? But as you and I know, this is only the beginning. The true goal of GAF is for them to eventually ,out of boredom or curiosity or whatever, click Off-Topic and be inculcated into the great hive.

You barely have to even go into OT at this point to get the same type of trash that you get there. Look at that thread Lime made the other day about how to deal with "problematic issues in the gaming industry". The only place that doesn't have that sort of trash are a very select few community threads. Even those get purged sometimes if they aren't toeing the line, as we have seen with the Futbol OT, NBA OT, and Halo OT.

This is exactly why leftists police language. They believe doing so will affect sociopolitical change.

There's nothing stopping them from doing so, but looking back at the besada PMs that Jado leaked, it seems they don't do that. Besada said that he thought Shattenjager was a racist and that he hated him, yet he couldn't just ban him for nothing.
Shattenjager is still an active member to this day, despite the mods wanting him gone. He just hasn't slipped up yet for them to ban him.
I think mod alts ike Enzom are used to bait people they don't like into bans by being overly hostile towards them, and if the hostility is reciprocated, the user gets banned.
Octoman in that thread is a definite shitlord and there is no doubt the mods would want someone like him gone, but he's clever enough to not break clear rules and get riled up by their bullshit.

Here he is at it again just now:

A familiar tactic. Check the first post in this screen http://abload.de/img/rhtjtehtetdehjut9dsok.png
Somehow race baiter is now synonymous with nigger. He doesn't like that phrase because that is his whole schtick on that site, using race to harrass people, and then he laughs when they catch a ban.

This all stems from him having a low opinion of himself. His self-esteem is so low he assumes everything is an attack. Typical weak gaffot and mangina.

I remember something this guy said years and years made me think he was a mod alt. I just can't remember what he said was.
That join date is pretty telling though. I mean that was the date the new forum opened up and a lot would have joined then but still the posting style and the fact he's not permed from being so abrasive all add up.
[–] Statutory_Ray [S] 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
That's what I figured that join date was about, since Tyler's account is only a week newer. But you'd think someone that has been there since day one would have been more active at some point over the past 11 years and would have accrued more than just a few thousand posts. Other users that have been there for a number of years have tens of thousands of posts. Amir0x just past 100k and he joined several years after Enzom.
I also just realize Enzom's avatar is that stupid cartoon "ReBoot", which originated in Canada in 1994. Bishop lives in Canada and would have been watching those types of cartoons at the time.
Not the most solid piece of evidence, but I think it's worth considering given all the other similarities.

Enzom also posted in that thread.

Holy fuck, what a loser. Try leaving the house sometime, you shut-in degenerate. That's if you're ever not tripping balls.
[–] Disappointed 0 points 5 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago
Bishop coming in straight after and changing the thread title and going on a ban spree pretty much confirms this thread as true. His alt has been exposed for all to see.
[–] Statutory_Ray [S] 0 points 5 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago
I debated even making this thread but the more I look at Enzom's post history the more I doubt that a user as hostile as he is could go so long without getting banned whereas even Angelus and Labor manage to get themselves banned all the time.
[–] RumboBumbo 0 points 8 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago
If this is true, and I wouldn't be surprised if it is, then they'd be employing a tactic that some law enforcement agencies use that is quite unpopular: entrapment.
Imagine their reaction if a police department was baiting black teenagers into making drug sales. And yet it's apparently okay for them to do the same.
This is the problem with people who have positions but no principles. If "the enemy" does something it's horrible, but if a friend does it there's always some excuse.
[–] ThisIsWhoWeR 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago (edited ago)
And what unprincipled people like these don't understand is that some concept of fairness is inherent in human beings. (Non-human creatures as well, but that's beside the point.) You can't say to people, "I can criticize you for this, but you can't call me out for my hypocrisy," and expect to be taken seriously by a majority. It takes considerable doublethink to accept that, and only the craziest zealots can keep up that level of doublethink for long.
