Dark Souls is one game I've been meaning to try. I've seen a few "Let's Plays" but the players kept dying so much it made me think, "Pfft... I can do better than that." A friend was talking about it over Skype and accidentally typed "Dart Souls" once, so that's what I call it in my head now. :P

I agree with @Dudicles in that the Elder Scroll series is pretty fantastic. I bought the Elder Scrolls Anthology off of Amazon and had a blast! Though, I gave up on Arena. I saved in a terrible spot and screwed myself over. >.<

When I read your question, I immediately thought of Castlevania. I've only every played Symphony of the Night on PlayStation, but it has a special place in my heart.

Now that I give it more thought, I recommend the Breath of Fire series and Dragon Age series (can you tell I like dragons? lol). I thoroughly enjoy World of Warcraft, but I know that game isn't for everyone. I don't really like playing games with random people, so I generally either play by myself or with my small group of friends.

Played Castlevania before really well done game. I've played Warcraft III and I have to say the story is just amazing.

My fiance is all about Warcraft and Starcraft. I love asking him questions regarding Warcraft/WoW lore, because he can recount some pretty fantastic stories. I would love to give the Warcraft series a try, despite that I kinda suck at strategy games.
