I had to go through youtube comment section really deep in order to find any information about the boot thing. Its a way to rekindle the fire in that samovar which is a type of a water boiler. Here is a wikipedia link about it

ok but why a boot? Wouldn't a billow work better, and not be a fucking boot.

I was thinking that it might add flavour or something but tbh I don't really want to drink boot flavour so that really shouldn't be a consideration. I wonder what Obama thought? It's probably tradition.

I'm about a 6 of 10 on a social scale. I couldn't have a talk like that, especially not am important one, with 10 unnecessary people sitting around listening and writing. Much less with someone who's clearly shut off communication like Putin. It's like watching a boyfriend explain why he cheated to a pissed off girlfriend. The way Obama looks down for the first bit while he's talking looks embarrassing. This is cringe moreso than WTF

It's more the fact that Putin has no respect for Obama and has very little interest in what he has to say. It's quite obvious that Putin isn't listening and Obama doesn't even looking at him while speaking.

It's all power games with Putin, just like he ignores Obama's hand here when he offers it for a handshake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHEposwhovk
