The only thing that bothers me is the stupid subverse chat box that floats on the left side of the page while browsing this verse. I don't know how to permanently get rid of that garbage.

Because there was an influx of people from reddit and then they all got cold feet and went back like the crack addicted internet users they are..... I did this but now I'm sticking with voat after being banned from multiple sub's just for posting on KiA)

It's just that "used to" and "in ages" imply time periods that generally translate to more than the age of the whole subverse.

What's changed? Well, we're in the process of converting this place to ConsoleMasterRace. We had a vote and realized that everyone generally agrees that consoles are a lot better in every way. Better controls, better online gameplay, better mods, better graphics. The openness of the XBox platform in particular has really opened everyone's eyes to just how much better console is. Anyway, we've got a lot of changes to make still but the new logo is nearly done.

Everyone irrationally hates windows now because they finally read the terms and conditions out of context that have barely changed in ten years.

It seems to me that you could simply avoid a lot of the issue by dual booting, keep all your sensitive info on a small windows/Linux partition. If you say "that's too hard" then that's the choice they have to make. The thing I'm more interested in is whether the OS still takes 30GB of my hard drive.

Holy shit 30 GB? I just installed Debian yesterday and it's 8 GB after I loaded it up with both KDE and GNOME and their respective bundles of software.

I set my computer to say it is on a metered connection. It lowers the amount of spying data sent, as Windows 10 sending too much would make bad things happen. Too tired to think about it.

Anyone joining the circlejerk right now is going to struggle with linux.

I want to say it's like only 5GB but that's just off the dome and I could be wrong.

There only 1 rule of privacy you need to follow:

If it's online it's not private.

If you want to keep your stuff private don't post it online no matter how "private" the site/service claims to be.

Also, if you give stuff to others expect them to post it online.
