I dunno, recent songs about guys who just wanna marry a girl (i wanna marry you and that one about bein so ruuu-uu-uuude) make me feel the opposite, but like women are the ones promoting giving it away and singing about sex and promiscuous activity.

To be honest to me it seems to be female singers doing the best job of promoting promiscuity out of anyone. I don't hear many men singing about "let me ride your disco stick" or pants anacondas and happily selling that shit to their adoring preteen female fans. I would say that the biggest audience for this stuff is female too. That might be a generalisation but personally I haven't met many males who listen to this shite horrific pop and rnb stuff.

The worst of it is that I grew up being told that heavy metal is the devil and yet it's purposely acceptable to sell sex to children in the form of pop music.

Apologies that I'm not the target demographic you asked this question to but that's my two cents.

When guys sing songs like blurred lines, then theyre "objectifying women". But when women sing about disco sticks then its a fun song that everyone likes.

Read "pants anacondas" in Craig Ferguson's voice.
