2020-12-16 | McConnell breaks with Trump in finally recognizing Biden as the new president - The Washington Post

'The electoral college has spoken,” McConnell said. “So today, I want to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden. '

'The Georgia Republican is locked in a tight race to win election in a runoff that will be held just one day before Congress meets to approve the electoral college votes. '

'As he did on the Senate floor, McConnell stressed that the electoral college has voted and reflected the certified results from various states, according to the officials. '

'John Thune (S.D.) and Roy Blunt (Mo.), who were clear in their remarks Monday evening that the electoral college had spoken and that the results should be accepted. '

'I told him that while we disagree on a lot of things, there are things we can work together on,” Biden told reporters as he departed for a campaign event in Atlanta. “We agreed to get together sooner than later. '

This is what worries me as the reading of the electoral votes by congress comes nearer... should the vote have to go to congress (House - President and Senate - VP), there are too many RINOs in congress, in both the House and the Senate, to trust them not to vote with the democrats. With such a narrow margin, it would only take one or two of them to screw the whole country over.

My own Senator Sasse is one of them.... although he's generally a good, solid conservative, his hatred of Trump is scary.

I don't think it will happen... I do think Trump will win, but I'm getting an ulcer thinking about all the dirty stuff the dems could pull off.
