ok, should I jump on this bandwagon?, I am still running W7, but am very much learning Penguin and hope to make the full fledged jump, the more I read the more reasons I should change, I refuse WX, and, well it seems that Linux is a different flavour, and gives me more control over my comp. And Winblows has been my lazy option for decades.

Really depends on what programs you plan to use. For general purpose use, there is no reason not to use linux. But for compatibility with some professional software, and games, its a bit of a pain.
