You have 48h to stay strong. And the good news is, you'll be sleeping half of that time. After that you'll be 20 year old again.
Change your habit for those 48h. E.g: Used to drink lot of coffee: dont use sugar (or put some in it, if you werent). Used to smoke in your car, use another car, or transportation.
Drink water whenever you feel the crave. Get new sweet , or gums to distract from the oral habits, and a pen, or baoding balls to distract your hands.
Dont listen to vapers, or patch sellers: Stay 100% nicotine free for 48h! The best perk about being a non smoker is the liberation from any kind of dependance. You are 48h away from being a free person, and it's awesome. Stay strong.

Just do it.
Enough fancy reasons and words.
You have to believe you're too good to be a smoker, you're better than every other chump sucking on a cigarette.
Decided and do it, there is no room for failure.
Quit and commit to never EVER putting your lips to a cigarette again.
That kind of militant thinking is the only way I was able to quit.

I didn't quite manage to go smoke free today, though I only had a few. I'm confident that tomorrow will be smoke free. Thank you all for your advice and encouragement.

I wish you the best in quitting, i smoked for 30+ years before i gave it up for good. I tried all the cessations but none of them worked until vaping came along.
You arent just a slave to a plant, you might be surprised by all of the chemicals BT puts in a cigarette and many of them are addictive, some of them enhance nicotine's addictiveness.
Again i wish you the best of luck. After 30+ years of smoking i feel better than i have ever felt.
