I want $1,000 per day.

mang... if youre qualified at anything get yourself into vocational training.

im self employed myself although i subcontract, so company i work for organise the rooms students and equipment i just get in and train, or i use their gear to do classes on site. most standard days might be a block of 3 express classes then a longer one which is now down to about 6 hours work in total for a day, and ive been refusing to do any on site class longer than half an hour unless the client understands i will not wear a mask while training, they either get me without a mask, or i dont do the job.

if i do 6-7 days a week im on around $2.2-2.5k per week. i tend to get a lot of work because i have somehow fucking outlasted everyone around me over the last couple of years and do a half decent job at pulling in extra work, so pretty much get left alone completely. my biggest stresses now are cancel culture and occasionally leaving office keys at home because i fucking rode to work instead of drove.

Its enough to keep my home going, pay all the bills, the coronavirus shit let me get access to an extra $15k which bought me a car which will run a few years and after fucking years of trying and failing finally managed to get myself a decent fucking motorcycle for myself for my birthday.

if you got experience in something useful, someone will want you to teach them. even better when youve got experience in something your beauracratic fucking state forces everyone to train in once a year.

Just a little bit more.

money is not what you want. peace is much better. that is what you should be working for.

Wrong. Money buys comfort, money buys ease of mind, money buys health, money buys leisure, money affords a family and kids.

Love it or hate it, money is the foundation of our current world, and you can either go hippy and live dirt cheap for free or you can play the game and succeed and hand your children a higher standard of living.

money is the foundation of our current world

only if you accept it. good times bring weak men.

im not sure how people are that disconnected from reality that they dont realise that all these assclowns advertising the whole free spirit roaming lifestyle all have to be able to afford to be able to do fucking nothing for long periods of time - no one lives for free. living for free is called sponging. they might be selling themselves, which would be whoring but honestly how do you attract that much attention that you can monetize laying about being a fucking hippy? im talking about honest money? yeah they all either have a fuckload of money from elsewhere, a nest egg to sit on, or somewhere else theyve got that shit on tap.

Its not dole bludging bums or serial con-artists advertising living the hippy lifestyle. Con-artists and criminals that dont live their lives under the radar end up in jail, and people who scam welfare while advertising roaming around not looking for work end up getting fucked up by Centerlink, no, those people are people who dont have to fucking work, which is the only way that that lifestyle is remotely possible, which is the antithesis of the lifestyle theyre spamming you with

its just reality. you dont get nuttin for nuttin.

100k a year is poverty level in California and well off in Wyoming. Where's your location?

I'm self employed and want to create a goal to work towards that is comfortable yet still reasonable.

Small goals are underrated. People go for all that crazy envisioning of massive goals.

What if your goal was 110% of your current income? Then when you hit it you can set another goal and still wind up in the same place.

[–] u_r_wat_u_eat [S] ago

I mean as short term through long term goals. Yearly goals, monthly goals, what I'd like to be making in 5 years, in 10 years etc.

I've found the best way to achieve substantial goals is to take baby steps working towards it.
