One of the big things is to build/buy a nice home with plenty of usable land. Definitely a seller's market right now though.

A grand a day is nice, but I wouldn't mind going back to 70 grand a year. So many less headaches. I'm thinking about shuttering one of my retail units just because it only makes money I don't really need, and way more taxes and headaches than I ever wanted

One of the reasons I keep my business very small with light overhead. In terms of what I do at least, which is within the realm of lawncare style of labor.

Small pickup, tiny trailer, solo operator/owner. Sometimes I think a helper would be nice and I'd make more money but that means I bring in a lot more headache to cover that employee. Of course I can do under the table but that too can lead to issues.

The employees are the problems. I don't NEED more money, so I don't need this retail unit. My wife says "what about the employees, they need work" so we keep it. Retail unit sells novelty nostalgia crap, records, guitars, crap like that for teenagers.

Enough money to be able to set all my bills to auto-pay. A thousand bucks a week would do me just fine. I don't need much.
